Job Description

Product Development, Science and Technology (PDS&T) is the intersection of technical excellence and business impact. We are champions of product innovation and process knowledge to solve AbbVie's most complex technical challenges to successfully support late-phase products, commercialize our pipeline, ensure the quality and efficacy of our products, make a direct impact on patient health and well-being.

During a summer in PDS&T, an intern would own a focused technical project to consolidate and analyze data, helping design studies to address our complex challenges with drug products. The intern would be placed in the Pharmaceutical Technologies group.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting with activities associated with the development and implementation of data initiatives related to commercial drug products
  • Helping to consolidate, design, and recommend data analytics to support product data
  • Supporting automation of data tracking using various technologies
  • Developing resources and tools for process development engineers to design studies and streamline investigation support

Qualifications



Minimum

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering other related fields of study
  • Must be returning to university the semester following internship
  • Expected graduation date between December 2026 – June 2027

Qualifications

 

  • Microsoft Excel or other database experience is a plus
  • Exposure to coding, data mining, and multivariate analysis
  • Statistical training
  • Cross functional collaboration skills
  • Public presentation skills
