Job Description
We have a contract opportunity for a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Technician on the north side Durham This position has a good possibility of being hired on directly with the customer.
Pay: $18.15/Hr.
Shift: 2nd Shift Schedule 2:30pm to 11:00pm
Note: Candidate does not need to have all the skills listed. Some of them are a plus but not necessary.
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the operation of production and packaging of BacT/ALERT bottles and/or preparing and formulating the liquid reagents to fill the finished bottle in a cGMP compliant manner. May perform or assist in the setup, inspection, preventive maintenance, and cleaning of equipment.
Job Responsibilities: - Production Manufacturing & Packaging: Operate high speed manufacturing equipment.
- Filling: chemical weighing and reagent formulation
- Execute Manufacturing Directions while maintaining compliance with all job-related SOPs
- Quality Ensure that all batch paperwork is completed accurately and thorough.
- Perform and document all processes and procedures in a timely manner
- Perform some computer applications
Education and Qualifications: - Experience Minimum of 0-1 years in a regulated production/operations environment
- Mechanical Background a plus. Certification in BioWorks Program preferred
- For Filling Background in Bulking and/or compounding in food, supplement, cosmetic, medical device, or pharmaceutical chemical formulation is desired.
- Familiarity with measurement scales, mixing, blending, chemical mills and other formulations.
- Knowledge OSHA regulations (LOTO, electrical safety, etc.) preferred.
- Knowledge of FDA and/or GMP regulations preferred.
Additional Information: - Performs all job functions and responsibilities in a safe and responsible manner.
- Regularly climb stairs to perform work, and routinely lift 20-40 lbs.
- Stand for up to 8-12 hours and operate motorized pallet jacks.
- May be exposed to and require the handling of chemicals, antibiotics/hazardous materials.
- May be exposed to strong odors incurred during media production or other operations.
- Lab work is performed wearing various types of PPE which include but is not limited to a hairnet, beard cover, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, gloves, PAPRs, face mask and lab coats. Make-up and jewelry are prohibited in certain areas of Manufacturing.
Estimated Min Rate : $18.15
