The International Expansions (IE) organization’s charter is to rapidly expand Amazon Stores presence globally, partnering closely with category management, business, technology, and product teams across Amazon, to deliver the world’s largest selection to customers around the globe. Within IE organization, the Global Purchasing Program's (GPP) vision is to leverage our global footprint to offer more selection to worldwide customers.

We seek an individual with expertise in data analytics, robust business acumen, an ownership mindset, and effective communication skills. In this role, you'll utilize our data to enhance efficiencies, offer key insights, explore new opportunities, and drive innovation in collaboration with business teams. Responsibilities include managing entire components of large projects, from data gathering to synthesis, modeling, problem-solving, and communicating insights. You'll also contribute to building metrics, reporting to senior leadership, and adapting to a dynamic, fast-paced environment, demonstrating a continuous learning mindset for evolving systems and tools.

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive data-informed decision making through complex analysis of business processes and metrics
  • Design and implement analytical solutions that inform team strategy and reveal new opportunities
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, automated processes, and one-time analyses as needed
  • Execute sophisticated data analysis using SQL, spreadsheets, and visualization tools
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Monitor and analyze key business metrics to maintain awareness of performance trends
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency
  • Contribute to team strategy and roadmap planning

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
  • 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
  • Experience with Excel
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with large-scale data analysis with knowledge of business intelligence tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
