We're Hiring: Clinical Research Nurse!

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Research Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical trials, patient care, and research protocols to support groundbreaking medical research and improve patient outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Perform assessments independently and with physician investigator using established procedures to meet oncology research protocol objectives in compliance with IRB and sponsor guidelines.
  • Identify and recruit patients into oncology clinical trials.
  • Facilitate clinical testing and check results for patient eligibility for clinical trials.
  • Coordinate patient care across multiple departments/disciplines, ensuring treatment follows protocol timelines and patient-specific clinical timelines.
  • Provide education regarding diagnosis, clinical trial, and investigational chemotherapy to patients and families.
  • Nursing oversight of investigational chemotherapy treatment; ensure orders follow clinical trial dosing guidelines.
  • Check safety parameters and initiate treatment when patients present for chemotherapy.
  • Triage patient clinical needs, including immediate and delayed reactions from investigational agents; coordinate with primary care physicians and external institutions.
  • Initiate direct admissions to hospital and referrals to Behavioral Health, Homecare, and/or Hospice as appropriate.
  • Support physician investigators and clinicians to facilitate patient participation and compliance.
  • Provide educational in-services on investigational chemotherapy and clinical trial compliance for infusion nurses, inpatient staff, and other departments.

What We're Looking For

  • Current valid Michigan RN license required
  • OCN certification required within three (3) years of hire
  • ACRP or SOCRA certification preferred
  • Two (2) years progressive oncology research experience
  • Ability to utilize computer software to access and input data
