Position Title: Clubhouse Custodian / Cleaner / Porter
Reports To: General Manager
Location: Val Vista Lakes Clubhouse – Gilbert, Arizona
Employment Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available

Position Overview:

Val Vista Lakes Community Association is seeking dependable and detail-oriented Janitors/Cleaners/Porters to join our Facilities team. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the Val Vista Lakes Clubhouse, Fitness Center, Banquet Room (including kitchen), restrooms, and surrounding common areas. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining a beautiful environment for residents, guests, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain all clubhouse areas, including the lobby, offices, restrooms, fitness center, banquet room, and hallways.
• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of high-touch surfaces, gym equipment, and public restrooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and surfaces as assigned.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper waste disposal.
• Inspect and report any maintenance or safety issues to the General Manager or Facilities Coordinator.
• Refill cleaning and restroom supplies as needed and maintain janitorial closets in an organized manner.
• Follow all safety procedures and association policies at all times.

Qualifications:

• Prior custodial, janitorial, or porter experience preferred, especially in a clubhouse, gym, hotel, or banquet facility setting.
• Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment (vacuum, floor buffer, etc.).
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Schedule & Compensation - We are hiring both Part-Time and Full-Time positions:

• Full-Time: 40 hours per week with benefits eligibility.
• Part-Time: Flexible scheduling available (evening and weekend shifts preferred).
• Hourly rate based on experience and qualifications - $18.00 - $22.00/Hourly DOE
