• Weekend Requirement: Pending

• Block Schedule: Per unit need

• On-Call: Not required

• Floating: No

• Start Date: 07/14/2025

Important: Must be open to all shift times; specific shift requests cannot be accommodated.
Facility may cancel 1 shift per two-week pay period .

Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a flexible and experienced CT Technologist to join the SMMC CT team. The role includes a mix of acute and outpatient cases, requiring strong knowledge in multi-region scanning protocols. Must be willing to work a varied schedule including day or night shifts, based on departmental needs.

Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality diagnostic CT imaging procedures on patients in both emergency and outpatient settings.

• Administer IV contrast material under safe practices and monitor for patient reactions.

• Complete exams including abdomen, pelvis, chest, spine, and trauma protocols.

• Work independently while maintaining communication with radiologists and team members.

• Ensure timely and accurate upload and documentation of studies into PACS (Fuji Synapse) .

• Maintain safety protocols, including infection control and radiation safety standards.

Key Requirements:

• Must be open to both 3x12 and 4x12 schedules ; no shift guarantees.

• Must be flexible with all start times (cannot choose a fixed shift).

• Community hospital experience required.

• First-time travelers accepted.

• Must include RTO at submission.

• Local travelers (within 50 miles) accepted at the same rate.

• No floating or call required.

• Pending licenses not accepted.

Qualifications Education:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience preferred (1-year minimum required)

• Strong familiarity with emergency and outpatient CT protocols

License/Certifications:

• BLS Required

• ARRT (R) Required

• ARRT (CT) Required

• CA CRT License Required

• CT Advanced Certification Required

Skills CT Protocols & Regions:

• Abdomen/Pelvis: With and without contrast

• Chest: CTA, PE protocols, vascular studies

• Head and Neck: With/without contrast

• Spine and MSK: Cervical, thoracic, lumbar trauma

• Special Procedures: Aspirations*, Biopsies*, Drainage*, Brain Perfusion*, Coronary CTA*

Work Settings:

• Adult Acute Care

• Emergency Department

• Adult Outpatient

Equipment & Systems:

• GE and Toshiba CT scanners

• PACS* (Fuji Synapse preferred)

Professional Knowledge:

• Contrast preparation/administration

• Radiation safety and ALARA principles

• Infection prevention & isolation precautions
