Job Description

Description We're looking for a Data Privacy Analyst or Paralegal with experience supporting privacy, data protection, or compliance initiatives-ideally in a cross-functional or legal team setting. You'll help operationalize privacy requirements, support assessments and data subject rights processes, and collaborate with teams across Legal, Security, IT, HR, and Product. This is a long-term contract position with flexibility for remote work within Pacific Time (PST) or a hybrid schedule near San Ramon, CA. What You'll Do + Support the Privacy Office in implementing and maintaining data protection compliance programs (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, CPRA). + Assist in reviewing and maintaining privacy documentation, including data processing agreements, records of processing activities, and internal policies. + Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and support vendor and product privacy reviews. + Track and respond to data subject access requests (DSARs) and other privacy inquiries. + Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Legal, Security, Product, HR, IT) to ensure alignment on privacy standards and controls. + Support audits, reporting, and program tracking for privacy initiatives. + Monitor evolving data protection laws and regulations and assist with implementing relevant changes. Requirements What We're Looking For + 2-5 years of experience in a privacy, compliance, or legal operations support role. + Familiarity with key privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA, etc.). + Experience supporting in-house legal or cross-functional privacy teams. + Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. + Comfort working with documentation, spreadsheets, and privacy tools. + Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced environment. + Bonus: CIPP, CIPM, or EU AI Act; experience in tech or SaaS companies.
