The AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services Operations (SMGS Ops) AWS Field Experience (AFX) Planning Tools team is looking for a passionate, innovative, results-oriented Front End Engineer (FEE) to build solutions that make it simpler for our field team to manage and operate at scale. As a FEE on the AFX - Planning Tools team, you’ll contribute to defining and building the world class UX in Salesforce and Planning Tools built on AWS services for the AWS Sales organization. In addition to working on the latest AWS and Salesforce technologies, you’ll have the opportunity to innovate in the space of Sales Planning and Management. You’ll be chartered with creating and operating applications that deliver critical capabilities to the field, and with embedding operational knowledge and encoding best practices into everything we do.
The SMGS Ops - AFX - Planning Tools team shares a passion for delivering superior products, innovating using advanced technologies, and impacting the AWS business in a meaningful way. We're eager to connect with individuals who are comfortable with ambiguity, enjoy solving large-scale business challenges, and thrive in a startup-like environment.
SMGS Ops is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Key job responsibilities
- Write, test and deploy code using Amazon and AWS tools.
- Help define front end architectures, own and implement specific components, and help shape the overall user experience
- Collaborate closely with UX Designers, Product Managers, and Software Development Engineers to help deliver the product
- Participate in on-call rotation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or similar technical field.
- 3+ years of professional (non-internship) experience designing and developing complex modern web applications
- 3+ years of professional (non-internship) experience with front-end frameworks like React, Angular, and Backbone
- Expertise with JavaScript, HTML, CSS/SASS, and modern web technologies
