Description

About The Sustain Network

The Sustain Network is a restaurant and hospitality consulting firm recruiting on behalf of a confidential client in your area. Our client is building something with real momentum—ambitious growth plans over the next few years, a focus on strong operations, and a commitment to developing leaders from within.

Because this is a confidential search, full details (brand, location specifics, and growth roadmap) will be shared during a video-conference interview.

The Role:
As General Manager, you’ll run the day-to-day operation of a high-performing quick service restaurant. You’ll lead the team, deliver great guest experiences, and build systems that keep the business consistent, clean, fast, and profitable.
This role is for a leader who believes in clear expectations, strong communication, and coaching people to win—not managing by fear or chaos.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

- People & Leadership

- Hire, train, coach, and retain a great team

- Set clear standards and hold the line with respect and consistency

- Create a positive culture: accountability, teamwork, and professionalism

- Lead pre-shifts, drive performance conversations, and develop future leaders

- Operations & Guest Experience

- Execute daily operations: speed of service, accuracy, cleanliness, and hospitality

- Ensure food safety and quality standards are followed every shift

- Troubleshoot in real time and keep the restaurant calm, organized, and efficient

- Maintain equipment, facility standards, and a “ready for inspection” store

- Performance & Results

- Manage labor, inventory, waste, and controllables

- Use simple scorecards to track what matters and improve week over week

- Drive sales through great execution, great teams, and great guest experiences

What Success Looks Like (First 60–90 Days):

- Your team understands expectations and feels supported

- Shifts run smoother: faster service, better accuracy, stronger cleanliness

- Training is consistent and standards are being met without constant reminders

- You’ve identified key opportunities and are steadily improving results

What We’re Looking For

Must-haves:
- Restaurant industry experience is required (QSR is a strong plus)
- Strong communication skills—clear, calm, and direct
- Reliable, hands-on leadership style with high standards
- Comfort with coaching, feedback, and follow-through

Nice-to-haves (not required):
- Previous GM/AGM/Shift Lead experience
- Experience with scheduling, ordering, inventory, or labor targets
- Comfort reading basic reports and using simple metrics to improve performance
- Training will be provided for the leader selected for this opportunity.

Why This Opportunity:
- Competitive hourly pay ($15–$30/hour, DOE & location)
- A real path for growth as the brand expands
- Support, training, and leadership development
- Strong fit for leaders who value: ownership, continuous improvement, and building great teams

Hiring Process:
- Quick application review
- Video-conference interview with The Sustain Network
- Client interview + final steps (details disclosed during video interview)

Requirements/Responsibilities

1. Written and verbal communication skills
2. Emotional Resilience
3. Demonstrated ability to cooperate with people from all walks of life
4. An openness and willingness to engage in social interactions with customers and team members
5. Minimum of 3 years in fast casual, quick service or casual dining restaurant(s)
6. Innovative approach to leadership and restaurant management
7. People and culture first approach to management
8. Ability to interview, hire, onboard, train and build a team
9. Commitment to personal growth and a growth mindset
10. Great work-ethic
