P2S is looking for a Lighting Designer with 0-2 years of experience to work out of our Long Beach office.

Job Summary
0-2 years entry-level position after completing an internship or graduation with a degree in Lighting Design or a closely related discipline. Responsibilities include aiding in lighting design tasks, crafting lighting layouts, performing calculations, and collaborating with project teams.
Specific Competencies
Design Assistance:
Assist in various lighting design tasks under supervision, including layout development and calculation support, as well as familiarity with processes and concepts for architectural lighting strategies, principles, and practices.
Assist with performing basic professional lighting design work relating to conducting research and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions, equipment, layout, and systems to determine conformance with applicable standards and codes.
Assist with basic technical assistance on various design, installation, and integration issues relating to creating state-of-the-art lighting design that is innovative and inspiring, developing luminaire and controls specifics.
Assist with generating complete, accurate, and concise documentation and specifications using electronic systems, artistic renderings, drawings, diagrams, illustrations, spreadsheets, and reports.
Construction Administration: Review submittals and provide clarifications during construction. Produce meeting reports and punch lists.
Management Skills: Demonstrates adequate time and task management of areas of design responsibility.
Collaboration: Works closely with project teams to contribute to the lighting design process.
Other Duties: May involve out-of-town travel for project work or site visits. Other tasks as assigned.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, familiarity with design software (i.e., AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, AGI32).
