Mary Rutan Hospital is URGENTLY seeking a locum OB Hospitalist Physician to cover open dates

Dates needed:
12/28, 12/29 and 1/5
Potential for more vacation coverage
This is NOT in-house. Requires 30 minute response time to hospital. GYN surgical cases are not expected.

Deliveries (average one per day; approx. 360 births/year)
1:4 call rotation (weekday and weekend)
Meditech Expanse EMR for documentation and patient management
APPs, nursing staff
Total Number of Beds: Staffed beds 45, plus 20 room ED.
Average Number of Scheduled Patients Per Day: N/A
Number of Physicians in Practice: 4
How Many APPs Provide Coverage: 0
Will the Locums be Responsible for Supervising Other Health Care Providers? no
What Percentage of Practice is High Risk Pregnancy: Occasional high risk delivery. High risk deliveries are typically referred to tertiary centers.
Average Number of GYN Surgeries Per Day (If Applicable): N/A
What Percentage of Patients are C-Section: 30%
Average Number of Nursery Admissions Per Day: 1
Nursery Level (I, II, III): 1
Certification Requirement (BLS, ACLS, etc.): BLS, ACLS
What are the Required Obstetrics Procedures:

• Low Risk Pregnancy (i.e. History of Twins, Toxemia, Pyelonephritis, etc.) yes

• High Risk Pregnancy (i.e. with Toxemia, Diabetes, Class II or Higher Cardiacs, Chronic Lung Problems, Chronic Renal Disease, etc.) no

• FHR Interpretation NST/CST/FSE NST & FSE

• OB ultrasounds Performance of Interpretation

• OB ultrasounds Performance of Level I/Screening (Viability)

• OB ultrasounds Performance of Level II/Targeted (Anatomic)

• Amniocentesis No

What are the Labor and Delivery Required Procedures:

• Routine Delivery Vaginal, Low Forceps, Decision-Making for C-Section yes
• Complicated Delivery C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruptions, etc. yes
• VBAC s no
• Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations as required

The site will reimburse for flight, rental car, lodging, etc
Credentialing can be completed in time for clean files
Requirement description : ALL OF THE FOLLOWING SHOULD BE NOTED IN ADDITIONAL SUBMISSION DETAILS. REQUIRED PRIOR TO CLIENT PRESENTATION UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED

*THIS IS AN URGENT NEED WITH A TIGHT TURNAROUND- AGENCY AND PROVIDER MUST BE HIGHLY MOTIVATED TO GET THINGS TURNED IN IMMEDIATELY.

• TRULY Board Eligible (within 1 year of graduation) or Board Certified - REQUIRED
• ABOG or AOA-accredited OB/GYN residency REQUIRED
• OH license - REQUIRED
• Clean malpractice/licensure history preferred REQUIRED
• Provider must be internally credentialed with agency before submission- REQUIRED

• Please note that we require 50 deliveries in the last 12 months with at least 5 being C-sections for credentialing purposes.

• Board Certified

• Ohio

ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS :
Weekend Requirements : 1:4 weekend call; includes OB/GYN responsibilities with average of one delivery per day
On Call Requirements : 1:4 call schedule; must report to hospital within 30 minutes when on call; average of one birth per day
