Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: Houston, TX 77030
Duration: 12 weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 8:30 PM | 13.5-hour shifts | 3 days per week (varied days, Monday–Saturday)
Position Summary:
The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to produce high-quality, diagnostic images of body tissues, organs, and systems. The technologist works closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging, patient safety, and quality care throughout the procedure.
Responsibilities:
Perform MRI scans according to established protocols and physician orders.
Operate MRI scanners and related equipment safely and efficiently.
Position patients correctly to obtain optimal image quality while ensuring comfort and safety.
Monitor patients during scans and recognize signs of distress or adverse reactions.
Review and evaluate images for diagnostic quality before submission to radiologists.
Maintain accurate patient and procedural documentation.
Ensure compliance with MRI safety policies and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
Current ARRT (R) certification; ARRT (MR) certification required.
Active state licensure (if applicable).
Minimum of 2 years of recent MRI experience preferred.
Strong understanding of MRI physics, protocols, and safety practices.
Experience in a high-volume or hospital-based MRI department preferred.
