Job Description

About the Family:  

A family in Westfield, NJ, is seeking an afterschool nanny starting in September to care for their 3 boys, ages 10, 7, and 4. Their younger baby will be in daycare. The family follows a rotating schedule due to mom’s 7-on/7-off work schedule. They are looking for a responsible and flexible caregiver to support their children’s daily routine, including school pickups, activities, and light household tasks. 

Responsibilities: 

• Pick up children from school 
• Take kids to afterschool activities 
• Light household help (organizing children's things, tidying up) 
• Drive children to/from activities (family provides minivan) 
• Care for children during mom’s shifts (week on/off schedule) 

Qualifications: 

• Must have a reliable driving record and be able to drive the family’s minivan 
• Previous childcare experience with multiple children preferred 
• Ability to handle school pickups and help with activities 
• Flexible schedule to accommodate alternating weeks 
• Ability to organize and maintain tidiness in the household 

Additional Information: 

• Minimum term through the end of the school year 
• Rate: $25/hr

Schedule Notes: 

• Weeks on: 2:30pm-6:30/7pm, 4 days/week (nanny can pick which day off Monday-Friday) 
• Weeks off: 4pm-6pm, 4 days/week (Monday-Friday, nanny can pick day off) 
• Alternating schedule due to mom’s 7-on/7-off schedule 
• Start in September with onboarding at the end of August
