Circulate and/or scrub for a variety of surgical procedures.
Prepare the operating suite, ensuring necessary equipment and instruments are available and sterile.
Assess patients preoperatively and provide education on the surgical process.
Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain safety and efficiency in every case.
Monitor patients status throughout the perioperative process and respond quickly to changes.
Document care thoroughly and communicate updates clearly to physicians and staff.
Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing feedback on workflow and safety initiatives.
Required:
Active RN license in Kansas or Compact State
Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience (circulating or scrub)
Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
CNOR certification or other perioperative specialty credential
Experience in large hospital or trauma center ORs
Hourly Rate: $34 to $48/hour, plus $4 differential for nights/weekends
