About Us

Shef is a modern-day shared personal chef service where we connect busy individuals & families with local chefs who prepare high-quality home-made meals for our weekly subscribers. We handle delivery, logistics, and support so you focus on cooking.

We're active in New York & Bay Area, now expanding to Los Angeles, Seattle, and Chicago.

The Opportunity

If selected, you’ll be brought on to c ook meals for our recurring subscription based customers. Compensation is based on number of dishes sold. You set the days and we help you optimize your menu to maximize sales. Some of our top shefs are making extremely meaningful income with us while doing what they love part-time. 

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in a professional kitchen, catering, or as a private chef
• Culinary School degree and/or experience in restaurant kitchens
• Valid food handler or manager certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
• Strong food safety practices and ability to create high quality meals
• Reliable, communicative, and passionate about your craft
