The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview: 

Assists physical therapist or occupational therapist with patient care. 

Qualifications: 

Required: 

• High school diploma or equivalent required, 

• American Heart Association CPR card required, 

• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office; excellent communication and organizational skills also required, 

Preferred: 

• Basic knowledge of medical terminology a plus, 

Scheduling Requirements: 

• This is a full time, day position, 40hours/week, 

Essential Functions: 

• Assisting physical therapist or occupational therapist with patient care such as:  

• assisting with patient transfers and mobility,  

• pt transport,  

• maintaining treatment area by maintaining supply and linen inventory,  

• changing sheets and pillow cases;  

• general housekeeping,  

• retrieving and cleaning equipment including medical equipment;  

• assist in clerical needs of department such as answering phones and taking messages;  

• communication with nursing or other healthcare providers;  

• direct communication with office staff and Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy staff
