Job Description

Loudoun Medical Group (LMG), one of the largest and most diverse physician-owned, multi-specialty group practices in Virginia, seeks a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to support a large Urology practice in Loudoun County, VA.

Responsibilities

• Hospital consults, rounds and discharges
• Working with surgery scheduler and surgeon to arrange same day urgent surgery e.g. kidney stones
• Collaboration with nurses, hospitalist team and other care providers to formulate a plan for inpatients
• Use of hospital apps to locate patients and look up study results
• Independent office practice including new patient consultations, established patient follow up and postoperative appointments
• Provide care for same-day urgent patients, e.g. UTI
• Ordering appropriate laboratory studies and diagnostic imaging
• Reviewing and managing laboratory and imaging results on electronic medical record, both desktop and app
• Prescribe and monitor medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Perform specialized procedures such as catheter irrigation, difficult catheter placement, evaluation of drains, urodynamics
• Ensure continuity of care by serving as a liaison between patient, family, multi-disciplinary care team and other specialty providers
• Foster excellent relationships with all members of the care team: medical receptionists, medical assistants, surgery schedulers, office managers, other APPs, surgeons, hospital staff
• Demonstrate a high standard of moral and ethical behavior.
• Demonstrate compassion and professionalism and a commitment to excellent patient care.

• Electronic Medical Record experience preferred
• Professional demeanor
• Bilingual a plus

Education

• Advance practice provider certification, physician assistant or nurse practitioner
• Experiencing urology preferred but not mandatory

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
