Piping Designer – Life Sciences & Industrial Facilities
Onsite | Boulder, Colorado
Full-Time | $70,000 – $120,000 (DOE) + Benefits + Bonus Program

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Piping Designer to join our team in support of industrial building and facilities projects, with a focus on the life sciences, biotech, and pharmaceutical industries . This position is full-time and onsite at a client location in Boulder, CO . You will play a critical role in producing construction documents—including plans and sections—for complex clean piping systems.

Responsibilities

  • Produce piping layout drawings and construction documents for facility and utility systems

  • Collaborate closely with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to meet project goals

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements

  • Support coordination and clash detection efforts using modeling software tools

What You Bring

Required:

  • AAS degree in Computer Aided Drafting or equivalent work experience

  • 5–15 years of relevant experience in piping design

  • Experience working in pharmaceutical , biotech , or clean process industries such as food, beverage, or dairy

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within diverse teams

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Tools/Knowledge:

  • AutoCAD

  • Plant 3D

  • Navisworks

  • Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)

  • Bluebeam

  • Basic understanding of engineering design principles
