Preconstruction Manager

Location: Indianapolis, IN

This role is critical in shaping projects from concept through contract, with the unique opportunity to grow into a Director-level position.

What You’ll Do

• Lead preconstruction efforts including budgeting, conceptual estimating, and value engineering.
• Partner with clients, architects, and subcontractors to deliver accurate and strategic project planning.
• Oversee GMP submittals, design coordination, constructability reviews, and bid processes.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless handoff into construction.

What We’re Looking For

• 8–15+ years of construction industry experience (preconstruction/estimating preferred).
• Strong background in conceptual estimating and negotiated work .
• Proven ability to lead teams while remaining “in the trenches” with takeoffs and bid work.
• Tech-savvy with tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, Smartsheets, SmartBid, Excel .
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive base salary: $130K–$150K+ (DOE)
• Bonus opportunity (~10%) + Vehicle allowance
