Job Role-Process Engineer
Job Lcoation-Phoenix, AZ (Relocation required)
Responsibilities of Role:
Responsibilities of Process engineer is following – but not limited to:
- Work as an onsite Process Engineer in a process plant environment
- Deliver designs and Engineering packages related to process engineering for industrial plants.
- Define the scope of work discussing with customer, coordinate with the offshore team and deliver the engineering deliverables.
- Coordinate with customer to collect all the required inputs to complete the engineering design.
- Coordinate with vendors and construction team to get the required information for completing the design and technical evaluation of vendor quotations.
- Attend design reviews along with customer and the construction team and get the necessary approvals.
- Support in construction and start up activities.
- Support start-up activities as needed.
Skills Required:
- Should have worked as a Process design Engineer for industrial plants (Chemical, Agrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Fine chemicals, Specialty chemicals, Food & Beverages).
- Strong knowledge on chemical engineering fundamentals like heat transfer, fluid mechanics, solid handling, mass transfer etc.
- Ability to prepare and review PFD’s and P&IDs.
- Ability to perform mass & energy balance calculation, process equipment sizing calculations, line sizing and hydraulic calculations.
- Should be able to specify process plant equipment and hands on experience in sizing and selection of equipment as per project requirement.
- Powder handling equipment sizing and design experience is a must.
- Should be able to specify pump, heat exchanger, tank and other equipment independently.
- Experience working in process safety management activities, Sizing & selection of safety devices would be a plus.
- Conversant with MS office application is must.
- Familiarity in working in AutoCAD will be added advantage.
- Familiarity with Aspen plus, HTRI, AFT Fathom, AFT Arrow and any other hydraulic calculation software will be added advantage.
Physical Requirement:
- Must be able to climb flights of stairs and remain standing for at least 2 hours.
- If needed - must be able to lift up to 25 lb.
- Ability to thrive in dynamic team environment with diverse perspective.
