Job Description

A precision machining and fabrication facility is seeking a hands-on Project Manager with a background in mechanical engineering and CAD proficiency. This role involves managing technical projects from design through production, coordinating closely with engineering and shop personnel to meet customer specifications and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee machining and fabrication projects from concept through completion
• Interpret mechanical drawings and work with CAD models (SolidWorks preferred)
• Act as a liaison between clients, engineers, machinists, welders, and production staff
• Track timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Provide input on manufacturability and material selection
• Manage procurement and job progress
• Maintain accurate project documentation and communication

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
• Familiarity with machining, welding, and general fabrication processes
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a hands-on, fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience:

• 3–5 years in a machine shop or manufacturing project management role
• Entry-level candidates with strong internships or co-op experience also considered
