Job Title: Registered Nurse - Infusion/Oncology

Location: Ithaca, NY

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (40 hours/week)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks contract

Pay Rate: $55 to $58 per hour

Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Oncology and Infusion Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract. This role offers a stable weekday schedule with no weekends or on-call shifts. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of recent infusion and oncology nursing experience and can work independently in a fast-paced outpatient or clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer IV infusions including chemotherapy, biologics, and specialty oncology medications

• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond promptly to complications

• Educate patients and families about medications, side effects, and home care related to oncology treatments

• Maintain accurate patient records and infusion documentation

• Collaborate with oncologists, physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals

• Follow safety and infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of assignment

• Strong knowledge of oncology and infusion nursing best practices

• Ability to quickly assess patient conditions and identify complications

• Excellent communication and patient education skills

• Proficient in clinical documentation

• Able to work independently and in a team setting

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

• Compliant with facility policies and regulatory requirements
