The Residential Service Plumber is responsible for expertly performing a full range of residential plumbing services within a tight local service radius. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional problem-solving abilities and strong customer service skills, driving high customer satisfaction and leveraging their expertise for maximum earning potential.

Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Expertly perform a full range of residential plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installations across all residential systems.

  • Diagnose issues with pinpoint accuracy across all plumbing systems, including fixtures, water piping, drainage, and hot water heaters.

  • Respond promptly to emergency plumbing calls and efficiently troubleshoot urgent plumbing problems.

  • Provide transparent estimates and clearly communicate service recommendations to customers, ensuring they understand the work required.

  • Ensure compliance with all local and state plumbing codes and safety regulations on every job.

  • Maintain company tools and equipment, ensuring they are in safe working order at all times.

  • Accurately record work performed and materials used for all jobs via company systems.

Requirements

  • REQUIRED Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a residential Service Plumber.

  • Must possess strong communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.

  • Proficiency with all standard plumbing tools, equipment, methods, and codes.

  • Must demonstrate high accountability, possess a low ego, be coachable, and maintain a strong communicator approach.

  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including lifting equipment, kneeling, and working safely in confined spaces.

  • Possesses the basic set of hand tools required for a professional Service Plumber role.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or plumbing certification preferred.

  • Valid Driver’s License required. Must maintain a clean driving record.

  • Must be a team player with an upbeat/positive attitude.

  • Prior Nexstar training is a huge plus.

The base compensation for this position is expected to range between $25.00 to $50.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed.
