About the Role:

Reporting to the Manager, Internal Audit, this role will work with the department’s leadership team to transform virtually all aspects of the function as both the Board of Directors and executive leadership are now looking for the function to provide visible and tangible value to the organization, beyond the ordinary compliance activities. This will be accomplished by driving the appropriate Internal Audit Department strategy.

The Departmental strategy will include building a talent pool to feed the organization, building-out and deploying process improvement methodologies, and cultivating stakeholder relationships.

In addition to assisting in driving of certain elements of the Internal Audit Department strategy, this role will be responsible for leading virtually all aspects of audit projects. 

What you will be doing:

  • Scope, perform, and lead audit projects and the related project teams, facilitating quality and timeliness and ensuring the business has been improved/strengthened
  • Purposefully develop the Staff’s technical, intangible, and soft skills
  • In conjunction with the Managers and Directors, perform risk assessment activities throughout the year via ongoing analysis, maintaining relationships with key members of management, and staying close to what is going on in the industry and the business
  • Effectively collaborate with our SOX co-source partners to support SOX needs including leading walkthroughs, testing, review, and reporting as needed
  • Provide thought leadership to all we do in an effort to continuously move the Department forward
  • Build and maintain strong and productive relationships with members of management and our independent auditors
  • Assist the Directors and Managers, as appropriate, in driving the recruitment process for the Department

What you need to succeed:

Experience:

  • 3-6 years of relevant industry or public accounting experience
  • Big 4 public accounting, Fortune 500 internal audit or accounting/finance, manufacturing/distribution/retail industries
  • Experience driving both assurance and advisory services
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, high change, complex environments
  • Experience performing operational, financial, and compliance audits
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, including internationally
  • SAP experience a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from fully accredited four-year institution is required; Master’s degree is a plus
  • Certification/Licensure Required (or in process) - CPA, CIA, or CISA

  • A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $100,000 - $120,000 per year at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and/or training. Please note that the range reflects the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program
