Senior Structural Engineer – Building Structures | Dallas, TX | Senior-Level (PE/SE Required)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team in Dallas, TX . This position is ideal for a licensed engineer with a strong technical foundation in structural design, a passion for mentoring others, and a commitment to delivering high-quality building projects. You will lead structural planning, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and oversee the development and execution of engineering documents throughout all project phases.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead structural analysis and design for commercial, residential, institutional, and industrial buildings.

  • Manage project development from concept through construction, including scheduling and budgeting.

  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure integrated, efficient structural solutions.

  • Oversee the development and quality assurance of construction documents.

  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and EITs.

  • Participate in construction administration, including site visits, RFIs, and submittal reviews.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, structural standards, and internal QA/QC processes.

  • Support firm-wide innovation through research, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Bring

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.

  • Active PE or SE license with a minimum of 2 years of licensure.

  • 5+ years of recent structural engineering experience.

  • Proficiency in structural analysis tools and software.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across disciplines.

  • High level of detail orientation and professional integrity.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with BIM workflows and software (e.g., Revit, RAM, RISA, ETABS).

  • Experience in multiple project types, including new construction and renovation.

  • Client-facing experience and ability to contribute to business development.
