Senior Structural Engineer – Building Structures | Dallas, TX | Senior-Level (PE/SE Required)
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team in Dallas, TX . This position is ideal for a licensed engineer with a strong technical foundation in structural design, a passion for mentoring others, and a commitment to delivering high-quality building projects. You will lead structural planning, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and oversee the development and execution of engineering documents throughout all project phases.
What You’ll Do
Lead structural analysis and design for commercial, residential, institutional, and industrial buildings.
Manage project development from concept through construction, including scheduling and budgeting.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure integrated, efficient structural solutions.
Oversee the development and quality assurance of construction documents.
Supervise and mentor junior engineers and EITs.
Participate in construction administration, including site visits, RFIs, and submittal reviews.
Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, structural standards, and internal QA/QC processes.
Support firm-wide innovation through research, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Bring
Required:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
Active PE or SE license with a minimum of 2 years of licensure.
5+ years of recent structural engineering experience.
Proficiency in structural analysis tools and software.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across disciplines.
High level of detail orientation and professional integrity.
Preferred:
Familiarity with BIM workflows and software (e.g., Revit, RAM, RISA, ETABS).
Experience in multiple project types, including new construction and renovation.
Client-facing experience and ability to contribute to business development.
