The Sr. Commercial Contracts Manager will control the project's commercial and contractual position through the application of knowledge and experience in risk management, project cost control, contract and sub contractor management and the financial management of the project through the application of expert contractual knowledge as related to all aspects of the project lifecycle.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Through direct customer engagement you are responsible for ensuring Honeywell's interests are safeguarded in each single transaction with customers, suppliers, and partners.
+ Establishes the contractual & commercial framework for projects from inception to completion.
+ Work with the Operations Teams to immediately mitigate any negative financial impacts.
+ Pro-actively assist with commercial solution for any identified threat of negative deviation.
+ Contract reviews
+ Advise and assist project teams on best commercial practices associated related to changes in scope, variation orders.
+ Deploy standard Commercial Management methodologies in the delivery and control of projects
+ Claims management.
+ Advise on best practices to ensure appropriate records keeping for possible/pending claims or dispute resolution.
+ Alert Operational Management / General Manager of any commercial risk threats and advise on the best approach.
+ Provide ongoing support in assessing or validating Honeywell's entitlement and quantification of damages to promote resolution of disputes.
+ Substantiate Honeywell's position and reach a reasonable resolution of disputes, even in restrictive and limiting contract language environment.
+ Investigate and analyze the causes and effects of the events that have arisen, prepare submissions.
+ Risk management relative to the commercial and contractual success of the project.
+ Work closely with Legal Team
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $155,000-$190,000. For Washington and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is $176,000-$210,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

**YOU MUST HAVE**
+ 8+ years of working knowledge of identifying, analyzing, preparing, and substantiating damage claims
+ 10+ years of experience analyzing contractual liability and causation
+ 5+ years of working knowledge with multiple standard contracts by country
**WE VALUE**
+ Experience in legal settings
+ Experience with Contract Law
+ Experience with Construction Payment Act requirements
+ Knowledge of HVAC, Building Management Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, and Security Systems
