Job Description

Duties:

• Familiarity with the correct materials for packaging, wrapping and sterilization methods of all instrument sets and trays.
• Complete knowledge of a case cart preparation system Basic computer knowledge with an Instrument Tracking system (ABACUS/MICROSYSTEMS) preferred.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Heavy lifting and pushing (trays & sterilization carts).
• Responsible for decontamination, prepping and packaging, sterilization processes of all surgical instrumentation and patient care equipment
• Must be able to read, write and understand the English language

Skills:

• Basic Computer skills, reading and writing
• General Knowledge of function and maintenance of Surgical Instruments and Patient Care Equipment
• Competent to operates sterilizersWorks well with others
• Works well in a fast paced environment

Education:

• Certified Registered Central Service Technician or CBSPD
• High School Diploma

• Monday to Friday
• 11p-7a
