Job Description

InGenesis is currently seeking Surgical Technicians/OR Techs to work with our client in San Antonio, TX . In this role, you will be responsible for circulating the full range of surgical procedures performed in the operating room.

Job Duties

• Acting as a sterile member of the surgical team, passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery.
• Proficiency in processing, sterilizing, and packaging surgical instrumentation.
• Anticipating surgeon needs, passing instruments, providing sterile items efficiently, and practicing aseptic technique.
• Safely transporting patients to the OR and screening them before transport.
• Documenting patient care and progress of the patient, performing a vast array of direct patient care procedures.
• Responsible for quality assurance/risk management and responding to breaches of standard procedures which compromise the patient or staff members.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current certification from the NBSTSA, NCCT, or its successor as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or American Red Cross (ARC).

OR Shifts

• 1st shift: 6:45am - 3:15pm
• 2nd shift: 2:45pm - 11:15pm
• 3rd shift: 11:45pm - 7:15am
• 4th shift: 10:45am - 7:15pm
• 10-hr shift: 6:45am - 5:15pm
• Weekend Day shift: 6:45am - 7:15pm
• Weekend Night shift: 6:45pm - 7:15am
