Paramedic/Nurse
Job Summary:
OneSource EHS is currently seeking qualified candidates for a full-time on-site role for an LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) Medic located in Baytown, TX. The LVN Medic will be responsible for providing medical care, maintaining health and safety protocols, conducting health assessments, and managing emergencies. The role also includes administrative tasks such as record-keeping and coordination with other health professionals. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within the plant are key components of this position.

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

1. Provide first aid for workplace injuries like cuts, burns, or sprains.
2. Administer emergency care for chemical exposures, such as using eye wash stations or safety showers.
3. Assess injuries and illnesses to determine if an employee needs to be sent for further medical evaluation or to an emergency room.
4. Participate in Site Safety meetings.
5. Manage workers’ compensation claims from initial injury reporting to case closure and track employee work restrictions and facilitate their safe return to work.
6. Maintain accurate and confidential employee medical records.
7. Document all workplace injuries and illnesses in compliance with OSHA regulations.
8. Manage and stock medical supplies and first-aid kits throughout the plant.
9. Collaborate with the site's Safety Manager to support the overall health and safety program.
10. Assist with special projects as assigned.
11. Duties may be assigned or changed as needed.

Other Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Must have excellent written, verbal communication and organizational skills.
2. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocols.
3. Ability to work on-site in a chemical plant environment
4. Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
5. Competent with Microsoft Office products, Internet, and other database programs.

Qualifications:
Required:

1. Must hold a valid/current, unrestricted LVN license in the state where the plant is located.
2. Experience in health assessments and emergency management.
3. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocols
4. Relevant certifications such as CPR and First Aid
5. Minimal 3-4 years’ experience working in an industrial clinic.
6. Must have clinical experience performing vital signs, blood draws, EKGs, pulmonary function testing, audiograms, alcohol breath testing, respirator fit testing, and experience with electronic medical records i.e., Cority or Medgate.
7. Local Hire-NO PERDIEM

Preferred:

1. Experience in Occupational Health. 
2. Previous experience in a similar role within the construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, or petrochemical industries.
3. Experience with OSHA regulations.
